Lasers provide huge benefits to our patients, allowing increased comfort, easier treatments and even quicker healing. There is little they can’t do from diagnosis through to gum treatments, fillings and even dentistry for children.
Lindsey has been working with lasers for many years now and has been educated to a high level, receiving an MSc recently in Laser Dentistry from the University of Rome.

Lasers provide huge benefits to our patients, allowing increased comfort, easier treatments and faster healing. With the Laser, we are able to offer a wide range of treatments from fillings and root canal treatments to gum treatments and surgery, treatment of cold sores, ulcers, snoring and facial aesthetics. Because the Laser can be used to temporarily numb teeth it is perfect for treating children without the need for injections. This creates a stress free environment for both patient and dentist!
Laser dentistry can deliver a better experience for patients who are particularly anxious. The dental laser is quiet with no heat or vibration. It is also more selective and precise than a drill and it disinfects as it works, keeping the tooth clean and at a much reduced chance of infection and post- operative complications. Often no anaesthesia is required. A huge bonus for our patients with needle phobias.
Laser dentistry fees are very similar to standard treatment fees. Despite it being a new technology that not many practices have access to, it is very cost-effective.
There is very little that we can’t do with a dental laser. It can be used for minimally invasive fillings and root canal treatments. We also use the laser to treat dentine sensitivity, contour gums and carry out gum surgery. Often patients who report years of gum treatment for a gum condition without improvement can be treated easily and quickly with our dental laser.
Troublesome cold sores can be treated effectively in a single visit and the laser can also be used to treat and alleviate painful mouth ulcers.
Did you know we can even use the dental laser for facial aesthetics and for anti-snoring treatments? The placement of dental implants can be enhanced using the laser and we tend to find healing and recovery is very much quicker. Patients who are experiencing problems with dental implants can also be treated very effectively using the laser.
We can also treat painful conditions such as Temporomandibular joint pain, nerve damage and Lichen Planus. The list goes on!

I have been a patient of Lindsey for over ten years and I have always admired her dental aim which is driven by 'prevention'.
